The exam will start on Monday, October 7, at 9:15 am and will take place in two rooms: Günter Hotz Lecture Hall and in building E1.3, Lecture Hall… Read more Dear students! In the following, we give more detailed information for the re-exam on Monday, the procedure will be very similar to the main exam. The exam will start on Monday, October 7, at 9:15 am and will take place in two rooms: Günter Hotz Lecture Hall and in building E1.3, Lecture Hall 002. It will last 90 minutes. Seating will begin at 9:00. We will put up seating plans next to the lecture hall entrances. You can look up your personal seat as well as the lecture hall also already now on your Personal Status page. You are allowed to bring one DIN A4 page with handwritten notes on both sides, no further auxiliary aids (in particular no calculator) are allowed. When entering, please leave your jackets and bags on the sides, turn off all electronic devices (smartphones, laptops, smartwatches, ...) and leave them in your bag. Take to your seat only
You are not allowed to bring/use your own paper. We will provide you with enough paper during the exam. Please make sure to arrive at the lecture hall on time at 9:00. Kind regards and much success! P.S.: We have just published the solutions of the preparation sheet, check them out! |

On next Wednesday, we will then publish the solutions of the trainings sheet. Also recall that there will be two Office Hours in the next week, they are the perfect place to work on the sheet or discuss any open questions. Furthermore a very important reminder: Please do not forget to register for the re-exam in the LSF until next Monday. For students who do not use the LSF for exam registration (e.g. Business Informatics or Erasmus), please register for the re-exam in the CMS on your Personal Status page until next Monday. In each session, one of the tutors will give a general recap of the topic and apply it on one of the existing exercises (60-90 minutes). After that, you will have the chance to further work on the… Read more Dear students, we are offering three extra sessions to help you prepare for the resit exam in October. In each session, one of the tutors will give a general recap of the topic and apply it on one of the existing exercises (60-90 minutes). After that, you will have the chance to further work on the existing material and ask questions, where one of the assistants will also be present. Please note that we selected the topics based on what caused most problems during the main exam, this does not mean that other topics are not relevant for the resit exam. You can also bring your questions related to other topics to the second part of the tutoring sessions, but discussing the main topic will have precedence. Here is the schedule for the tutoring sessions: Tuesday, Sept 10, 9-12 am, HS003 Generating random variates Monday, Sept 16, 9-12 am, HS003 Parameter estimation (MLE and MoM) Wednesday, Sept 18, 9-12 am, HS003 Bayesian inference We encourage you to look at the material beforehand to be able to follow and ask your questions. If you are not admitted to the exam, you can retake the course next year. For students not on LSF there is also the possibility to register for the exam in cms. This week, there are no tutorials due to the public holiday on Thursday, but there is an office hour on Wednesday at 10-11 in room E1.1, SR 1.21. You are welcome to come there with any questions regarding the content of the course.
After inspection of the minitests, there were some requests for adjustments that we now processed, the concerning minitest scores were updated. If you asked for an adjustment and your score did not get updated, this means that the team decided that scoring was adequat.
