Hi,

exam inspection will be on Tuesday September 5th from 16:00-18:00 in the CoLi seminar room (C73). There is a specific assignment of participants to time slots at the end of this message. Please stick to that.

You will have time to inspect your exam, but there will be nobody to answer questions. In case you think you found a grading mistake, you have to send a mail to snlpss23@lsv.uni-saarland.de . This should describe exactly, why you think there is a grading mistake.

Best regards,

Hi,

we have just finalized the exam. To safe you time, here are the instructions from the cover sheet:

1. The exam has nine questions. All questions are weighted equally, 10 points each.
2. No books, notes, smartphones etc. are allowed during the exam. You only need pen/pencil and your student ID.
3. Please read all the questions first. The questions are designed such that the answers should have limited overlap.
4. You are provided with a pile of answer sheets. On these answer sheets, you find an Exam Id. Please copy this number to this question sheet.
5.  Answer each question on the corresponding sheet in the set of answer sheets we provided. Each set of answer sheets has two blank sheets in the end. Use each sheet only for a single answer.  In case you need more paper, contact us during the exam. Extra sheets must be marked as the other ones and stapled at the end of the exam. A stapler will be provided.
6.  Answer your questions in English (otherwise we will have problems in grading).
7. Answer only what you are asked for and try to be compact and precise.

The exam starts at 14:00 at Günter Hotz Lecture Hall (001.0 Geb E2 2, https://www.uni-saarland.de/fileadmin/upload/footer/lageplan/saarbruecken.pdf )

Try to be there latest 13:45 .

see you on Wednesday

Hello all,

We have submitted project assignment grades. Please check your eligility and register for the exam if you have met the threshold.

If you have any questions regarding your grades, please email us as soon as possible, especially if you are close to the threshold and believe there was a mistake. As previously announced, if you believe you should be eligible, register for the exam and we can then clarify any questions you may have. If you end up not meeting the eligibility threshold, the examinations office will de-register you and you will not have a "fail" in your records.

Another option you may have, if you are close to the threshold, is to present (a portion of) the project at tomorrow's tutorial (4:15pm) in order to obtain participation bonus points.

Again, it is paramount that you register if you believe you should be eligible (even if grades on CMS don't fully reflect that at the moment).

Best,

Your tutors

Tutorial slots

Hi,

thanks for doodeling for tutorial slots. We have an algorithm that minimizes the number of students who didn't vote for a specific slot and at the same time results in roughly equally sized tutorial groups. Result is:

We hope that those participants who voted with "no" could still make it to one of the three slots.

First tutorials will be starting May 9th.
