the re-exam on September 10 is going to be a written exam. The exam takes place in lecture hall 001 in building E1 3 and starts at 10am sharp. The regulations are the same as for the main exam, i.e., the exam lasts 120 minutes and is open book, meaning you can bring any materials you want, as long as they are written on or printed on paper.

If you wish to take it, please make sure you are registered in the respective system according to your course of study (HISPOS/LSF or FlexNow).

the grading of exams is finalized and should be (or soon will be) recorded in your respective systems (and you should be able to see it in CMS).

The re-exam is planned for September 10. We haven't decided yet on the form and for that we would like to know how many people are interested in taking it. So, if you plan to take the re-exam, please write me an email (to danfis@cs.uni-saarland.de) until the end of this week. Then, we'll decide on how the re-exam will be conducted and let you know the details.

Dear students,

we have updated the points in CMS now so that they reflect any changes made in the exam inspection.

Even if you did not attend the exam inspection, your number of points and hence your grade could have improved: Unfortunately, one of the statements in the final exercise was arguably not as unambiguous as it should have been. Therefore, we do not deduct any points for it, regardless of whether you said it was correct or not. Sorry for the inconvenience.

we have finished grading the final exercise sheet. Your personal status page in CMS now shows whether you achieved the exam admission or not.

The first exam is on July 30. The exam takes place in lecture hall 001 in building E1 3, starts at 10am sharp and lasts 120 minutes. The exam is open book, meaning you can bring any materials you want, as long as they are written on or printed on paper.

If you are admitted and would like to take the exam, please make sure to register for the exam in the respective system according to your course of study (HISPOS/LSF or FlexNow). If you need to register via HIPOS/LSF, you can register (or withdraw your registration) up to one week before the exam. Please note that we may only allow you to take the exam if you are registered in accordance with the exam regulations of your degree program.

• Who? Are you studying in one of the English- speaking study programs of Saarland University? Do you struggle with exam anxiety and would you like to know how to deal with it?

They were not missing in the list of action definitions below, so most likely you have already seen them. However, in case you have downloaded the old version of the current exercise sheet, please make sure you have taken move-express into account.

just so you know, regarding the lectures --

I've had a strong cough for 4 weeks now. I learned yesterday that I have, in fact, "whooping cough" (Keuchhusten), which takes ages to wear off.

Dan Fišer will keep giving the lectures for the time being. I do hope I'll be able to lecture by end of May, or June at the latest.

the first paper exercise is out, you can find it in CMS. You have until Tue April 30 14:15 to finish it. You can submit your solutions to CMS, or you can just bring it on paper to the tutorial next Tue April 30 where it will be discussed. If you submit your solution to CMS, please, include your name and matriculation number on the first page. Remember that these exercises are graded and you need to achieve at least 50% of all points to be admitted to the exam.
