Dear students,

the re-exam will take place across three rooms (GHH / Foyer / HS 001), please see your seat assignment on TEAMS. The exam will start at 14:30 on Thursday.

As you have probably heard, there is no official mask requirement anymore, but nevertheless, I think that it would be a lot safer with masks, given that the rooms will be quite full. Therefore, please consider wearing a medical or FFP2 mask during the exam.

Best regards,

Hi all,

I will not present slides during the lecture slot tomorrow - instead, we will have time to address your questions on materials from the lectures. Please prepare such questions! Ideally, you could already paste them into this document here:

So I can organize them a little bit beforehand.

Hi all,

I have now created a poll on room preferences for all those who would like to attend the FIRST exam:

https://forms.office.com/r/iKd7qbdAsG

Please enter your preferences, and we will try to see how we can assign you to rooms for the exam most optimally. You are free to choose between the options, i.e. if you satisfy 2G+, you can of course still choose as your preference to sit in a 3G room. But of course, if you do choose 2G+, you must be prepared to show your 2G+ evidence.

no live lecture tomorrow (but video lecture)

Written on 10.01.22 by Vera Demberg

Hi all,
I'm very sorry, but I won't be able to hold the lecture live tomorrow (sick leave). Please use the time to watch the video from last year, I have already uploaded it under "videos" in the general channel on TEAMS.
Best wishes,

Hi all,

as you noticed, there were at least two technical problems this week.

One was that there was a significant time lag between me changing slides and slides changing on TEAMS. This can happen when there are too many people in a TEAMS meeting of when the internet connection isn't sufficiently fast. We will try to fix this by moving to zoom next week. I have updated the TEAMS meeting such that it now contains the zoom link as the location, so you should be able to join the zoom meeting still via your TEAMS calendar.
Also, I post the link here, in case that is more convenient for you: https://zoom.us/j/3679328022?pwd=TkYzSk5nNDdudCtPNnExUHVXTlEzQT09

The other problem was that the camera of the room was not connected to the room computer (or at least, it did not react). This problem would affect both TEAMS and zoom, and I hope that it will get fixed until next week.

Finally, I will try to use the blackboard less and instead draw on the slides; this way, the remote people should be able to see equally well.

Best regards,

Vera Demberg

There are still a couple of groups with only two members, please already start working on the assignment, we will see what we can do about it.

## UPDATE##

We already merged some of the groups, respecting as much as possible the turorial group and/or same study subject. If you would like to be assigned to a group, please create one for yourself, this way it's easier to get an overview of who is still looking for one.

Dear students,

please make sure that you form your groups until tomorrow noon.

For groups with less than 3 students, we will merge them tomorrow afternoon to give you a chance to work together on sheet 0.

Please also note that tutorials are now fixed! We have a lot of students this year and sadly cannot accomodate all of your individual preferences.

You will find your online tutorial on teams. We will also create a channel for each tutorial there, where you can ask questions to your tutor (they are not yet in place). If you did not yet join the course on teams, please do that as soon as possible!

Thanks and good luck with your first assignment!
