Using the Submit Server

Written on 10.07.2024 10:28 by Mohammad Amin Parchami Araghi

Hi everyone,

As it was mentioned on the project and gpu instructions, the submit server has very limited computational budget and you should always use jobs for your tasks.

This also extends to tasks that don't require a GPU,  such as installing a conda environment or building libraries.

You can simply ask for an interactive job (as it's mentioned on the gpu instructions), and then run such tasks. You'll have more memory and CPU cores and things will run much faster. You can edit the .sub file to specify the number of GPU and CPUs you need for the interactive job. If you don't need any GPUs, editting the file will likely result in a quicker access.

Feel free to use the forum if you had any questions/difficulties using the cluster.

All the best,

Your HLCV Team
