Your exam grades are now available in LSF, with two exceptions that are still being resolved individually. Please note that grades were not entered into the CMS, since the tool was not actively used by most of you during the semester.

If you would like to know your exact point total, please let me know by email — this is possible until the end of this semester.

Dear all,

We would like to invite everyone to a review session for the written exam this Thursday, August 6, at 2:00 PM, in Seminar Room 1.21 (Chair of Prof. Brinkmann).

Please note that we will not be publishing individual grades before this session.

Unfortunately, the exam results did not turn out as well as we had hoped. We therefore strongly encourage everyone to attend, so that you can use this session to prepare for the retake exam. As a reminder, the better result of the two exam attempts will count toward your final grade.

Hi everyone, this message is for the two teams presenting.

Project submission — Sunday, August 2, 2026, 6:00 p.m. Send me the final version of your project by then. The project must build. The submission must be self-contained: all sources, build files, and setup scripts included, and it must build and run on a clean Linux machine (no absolute home-directory paths, no laptop-only files); any external dependency must be listed in the README with the install command. The code must be commented. Please include a comprehensive README that includes what you implemented (clearly stating anything partial or missing), how to build the project, and how to run it, along with your design decisions and known limitations. Best practice: follow your own README step by step on a clean machine before submitting.

Presentation — Wednesday, August 5, 2026. 20 minutes, with an equal speaking share for each team member. The content is up to you: show us what you did, why you did it that way, what it can do, and anything you found interesting or difficult along the way.

for the exam tomorrow, 23.07., please be at Lecture Hall 001, Building E1 3 by 9:00 am at the latest, so we can start on time. Please also check in LSF whether you are actually registered for the exam — if not, we are not allowed to let you take the exam. Also keep in mind that being registered in LSF and not attending will count as a failed attempt.

No aids of any kind are allowed — you only need pens (permanent/document-proof, black or blue). The exam will last 90 minutes.

Hi everyone,

a quick reminder, as mentioned before: registering in CMS does not replace registration in LSF. We've noticed that more students are currently registered in CMS than in LSF, and only students registered in LSF will be permitted to write the exam, so please check whether you are properly registered in LSF. LSF registration is not something we handle or have any influence over, so please understand that we won't be able to help if you reach out to us about it. Thanks for your understanding, and see you on Thursday.
