For the last two weeks, only ~20 people were present during the lecture, while almost 300 do the quiz. The lecture recordings are provided as a service who have other obligations during the lecture slot; this mostly concerns LLM students. It is demotivating and insulting to the speakers if almost no one shows up. Please keep this in mind. I am very much inclined NOT to provide recordings in the future if this behavior continues. So please watch the lectures live when they are given and participate actively by asking questions.

Please remember to take the second quiz before Friday evening. The lecture recording and PDF slides for Professor Demberg's lecture are available in the Materials section. The quiz is more difficult than the one last week because there are multiple options for every question, and more than answer can be correct. A point is only given if the complete set of correct answers and no wrong answer is given. There will also be easier quizzes again.

Here is some clarification on the registration questions:

1. You MUST be registered HERE in the CMS; otherwise you cannot take the quizzes and access the Materials.

2. You MUST be registered in the LSF/HISPOS, not for the course, but for the exam, to get ECTS credits.
Exceptions only apply to students who are not enrolled in a standard program of the department. This typically concerns the following groups who CANNOT register in LSF for the exam:
- LL.M IT & Law program students (different department)
- exchange students (ERASMUS and other programs)
- junior students
- perhaps further groups and individual special cases
These special groups of students are handled by their respective examination offices and will receive a written note after completion of the course.
If you do not belong to such a special group, the only way to get credit is via the LSF exam registration.

Dear all,

it is very important for the online quizzes that the data in the CMS is correct, especially your matriculation number and your filed of study must be entered correctly. If your matriculation number is wrong, we will not be able to give you credit at the end of the course. For example, 755570 is not a valid matriculation number.

The next lecture takes place on Monday, and a new quiz will be available after the lecture. It has to be completed, until Friday evening, as usual. Please check and (if necessary) correct your data before attempting the quiz.

If you have persisting problems with LSF (HIS/POS) registration (exam 10036), please let us know in the Forum. It may be specific to some study programs. For MSc. LLM, HIS/POS registration is neither possible nor necessary.

Perspectives in CS (formerly "Perspektiven der Informatik") starts today at 14:15. There will just a technical introduction to the course and the quizzes. The first lecture takes place next week, according to schedule. It is recommended to attend the lecture today to learn how the quizzes work. Note: The lectures are online only. The zoom link is at "Information > Materials > Administrative information". You have to be registered for this course here in the CMS to view the Materials page.
