Virtual machine for the lecture
We have prepared a virtual machine for you with all the necessary software.
Proceed as follows:
Install VirtualBox. Select the binary corresponding to your platform under 'VirtualBox binaries'.
Download the virtual machine here (size about 2.1GB).

Open VirtualBox and select 'Import Appliance' from the 'File' menu and import the downloaded 'Prog2.ova' file. After the import is complete, you should see an entry named 'prog2'.
Select the 'prog2' entry and click start. The VM should boot directly to the desktop. On the desktop are shortcuts for all the important programs for the lecture.
Both the password for the user 'prog2' and for 'root' is 'prog2'.
