Exam Inspection

Written on 17.09.20 by Pascal Lessel

Hi,

I made the results visible in the CMS. I am not sure, whether I have used the function correctly: If you see a 5.0 but you have not been registered in HISPOS/LSF for the exam don't worry. It seems that currently the CMS assigns the 5.0 to everyone, independent of whether or not you were… Read more

Hi,

I made the results visible in the CMS. I am not sure, whether I have used the function correctly: If you see a 5.0 but you have not been registered in HISPOS/LSF for the exam don't worry. It seems that currently the CMS assigns the 5.0 to everyone, independent of whether or not you were registered in HISPOS/LSF.

I will add the grades directly to HISPOS/LSF at the end of October (after the exam inspection) and will post another CMS news, so that you can check whether something seems odd.

The exam inspection is likely on 29.10.2020, 9am, E1.3 HS001. If you are interested in inspecting your exam, please register with the Exam Inspection here in the CMS. This is necessary because of the current regulations. The deadline for this registration is until 02.10.2020, so please register soon. I will contact those that were interested in expecting the exam with more information at a later date.

If you are registered and attend the exam Gamification & Game Studies please read the following information carefully:

If your answer is "yes" to one or more of the following questions, then you are not allowed to attend the exam. If you provide a doctor’s certificate to the examination office later on, the examination attempt will be canceled and will not count.

Did you have definite contact with a Covid-19 patient, who was tested positive, in the last 14 days?

Do you have any of the following symptoms?
▪ Cough / Husten
▪ Sore throat / Halsschmerzen
▪ Nasal congestion / runny nose / Schnupfen
▪ Diarrhoea /Durchfall
▪ Fever /Fieber
▪ Aches and pains / Gliederschmerzen
▪ Loss of smell (e.g. no longer able to smell burnt food) / Geruchsverlust
▪ Loss of taste (e.g. unable to distinguish when food is burnt) / Geschmacksverlust

If you are not sure about the answer to one of these questions, then you need to consult a doctor to decide whether or not your health status is critical. If the decision is that you can participate, then you have to bring a medical certificate along to the exam.

- Remember to bring your student ID.
- Please be on time tomorrow
- Wear your mask when entering the exam room.
- Ensure the required safety distance.

If you are registered for the exam Gamification & Game Studies (PLEASE CHECK IN CMS), please check the following information: Please note that it is absolutely necessary for you to bring your own protection mask with you. Students who have a doctor’s certificate that they cannot wear protection masks have to bring their own face shields and wear these instead of a mask.

All participants and supervisors have to wear protection masks when they enter/leave the room, when talking to each other, and when checking student identities. Due to the safety of all persons in the room it is strongly recommended to wear protection masks during the entire exam.

A safety distance of at least 1.5m should be kept at all times. The only exception is checking identities, where there is insufficient space to place the ID cards with such a distance; both the student and the supervisor must wear a mask during the identity check.

We will again post on Sunday.

Exam Registration

Written on 01.09.20 (last change on 01.09.20) by Pascal Lessel

We have exported the registration from the LSF system and imported them to the CMS, i.e., you should now be able to see on your dashboard whether you are registered (you see a green label) or not (you see a text that the registration deadline is over).

We have exported the registration from the LSF system and imported them to the CMS, i.e., you should now be able to see on your dashboard whether you are registered (you see a green label) or not (you see a text that the registration deadline is over).

In addition, if registered, you should have received a generic e-mail from me that you are registered for the exam. If you don’t see the green label in the CMS or did not receive the generic email from me, you are not correctly registered and cannot participate in the exam.

We will write in the Günter-Hotz lecture hall only (E2.2, not in its Foyer) – please take the doors on the back (see https://cms.sic.saarland/gg20/dl/202/GHH_doors_to_take.png). We will open these at 12:01pm and one of the supervisors will assign you a seat. The exam will start at around 12:15pm (we start by checking the student IDs). Please do not form big crowds in front of the exam room entrances to ensure the required safety distance.

You need to adhere to the Covid-19 rules – you will receive another email (if you are registered for the exam) and a CMS news on Thursday and on Sunday in respect to the regulations and with further information.
