The framework for the endterm remains the same as for the previous two exams and is outlined below for your reference. Please read this announcement carefully and post any questions on the forums. TimeThe endterm will take place on Saturday, February 8, at 10:15.
Room AllocationThe endterm will take place in GHH and E2 5, HS I. If you registered in time, your registration is now imported into CMS and you have already been assigned to a lecture hall. Your assignment can be found on your personal status page. Row and seat numbers are not relevant; you may sit in any seat with an exam. Again, late registration is not possible; you can still participate in the endterm retake. Permitted MaterialsYou are allowed to bring:
No additional materials are permitted. All other electronic devices, including phones, must be turned off and stored in your bags, which should be placed at the sides of the lecture hall. It should go without saying that such devices are not permitted at your seat during the exam. This rule will be strictly enforced. We will provide sufficient paper, so please do not bring your own. What to ExpectThe endterm will consist of three exercises similar to those in the assignments. Each exercise is designed to take approximately 30 minutes. The exam will cover all material from Slides 09b and Assignment 07 onwards. As previously explained here, there isn't a strict cutoff between midterm and endterm topics, as some lecture content from before the midterm carried over into later assignments. Thus, we decided to handle it as follows:
You are not expected to write Python code or memorize the implementations shown in the lecture. However, you may be asked to write pseudo-code to convey algorithmic ideas. If you have further personal questions, feel free to email me. In case of general questions, please post them on the forums. Wishing you much success, |
