Block course Introduction to LaTeX

Hi all,

due to the strike on public transport, todays sessions will take place online. Even though I am not a fan of this concept, and even though I hate Microsoft Teams, the meetings will take place using Teams. Join links below:

Hi everyone,

we will have 6 time slots next week. Due to a doctor's appointment, the slots on Tuesday will be in the afternoon. Course language is english by demand. Time slots will be as follows:

Monday: 10.00 -- 11.30, 13.00 -- 14.30 (What is LaTeX, what software do you need, fonts and formatting, highlighting and colours, typical tasks and boiler plate solutions)
Tuesday: 13.00 -- 14.30, 15.15 -- 16.45 (Counters, references, mathematics in LaTeX, important packages, On writing mathematics, numbered equations, equations over multiple rows, holy trinity, diagrams)
Wednesday: 10.00 -- 11.30, 13.00 -- 14.30 (bibliographies, Index and Appendix, TikZ, Code highlighting with minted, LaTeX beamer)

All courses will take place in Lecture Hall 4, building E2.4.

Dear all,

experience has shown that a fraction of potential attendees actually shows up to the lectures. I would not want to have the direction decided by people that don't actively take part in the course. Please write an email to me if you want to take part in the lectures and give me preferences for language as well as additional wishes, should there be any. People that influence the course direction and don't show up in the first meeting without notice will get the boot.
