Statistical Natural Language Processing

Hello everyone,

The schedule for the quiz and the assignment is now published on the Main Page. The tutorials begin from the week of 27.04.2026. The first quiz will be conducted in the week from 04.05.2026 to 08.05.2026 in your respective tutorial slots. 

In the table, some entries are marked by an asterisk (*). This means there will be no quiz during that week, however tutorials will be conducted as usual. 

If you are unable to attend a quiz due to sickness, please send a doctor’s note to your tutor. The marks from the missed quiz will not be counted towards the minimum 50% marks eligibility of the quiz. In case of another genuine reason (other than sickness) for missing the quiz, please send an email to your tutor stating the reason. This would help the tutors decide whether or not to exempt you from that particular quiz. If a quiz is missed in any other case, then that quiz will be marked as failed.

If you have any queries or doubts, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us via the Forum and we will make an effort to respond at the earliest.

Hello everyone,

Your first assignment will be published later today and will be due on 24.04.2026 at 23:59 CET.

You are expected to work in teams of 2-3 students, so please make an effort to find some teammates over the course of the next week, if you haven't done so already. Team registrations as well as assignment submissions should be done under "Personal Status" here on CMS.

Since there will not yet be tutorials during the next week, we encourage you to register for the forum and post any questions regarding the assignment (or anything else) there. We will make an effort in turn to answer your questions as soon as possible. Please don't send us personal emails regarding topics that are relevant for all of you ;)
