Use of Agentic LLMs
Geschrieben am 11.06.2026 12:49 von Felix Kosmalla
Hi all,
Jatin was so kind to do a small writeup, explaining how agentic LLMs can help you to work with Unity directly through an MCP.
Generally, we endorse this with an important restriction. To be fair to everyone we can only allow (agentic) LLMs that are free to use for everyone through the duration of the semester, e.g. via a student program or because it is free to use anyways. This explicitly excludes Claude Code since for this you will need a paid Pro account. Same for the Unity AI 14 day trial. This is very similar to the rule that you are only allowed to use free assets in the Unity Store, as opposed to spending money on them.
Unfortunately, the Git Hub Education package is apparently also not available for new registrants. This means, however, that those of you that have access to that, shall also not use it, since it would be an unfair advantage.
Here is the writeup https://cms.sic.saarland/s_ar4sports_26/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2
We acknowledge that these restrictions come more or less in the middle of the semester. If you have already used any of those agentic/paid LLMs, please be transparent about this, it will not be to your disadvantage.
Please let us know if you have any questions or comments.
Best,
Felix & all
