Nähere Informationen sowie den Link zur… Read more Zusätzlich zu den Sprechstunden der Tutorinnen und Tutoren bietet Tobias Mai eine wöchentliche Fragestunde im Stile eines Repetitoriums an. Es werden aktuelle Themen der Vorlesung wiederholt und anhand zusätzlicher Übungsaufgaben ausführlich diskutiert. Nähere Informationen sowie den Link zur Online-Teilnahme finden Sie unter "Informationen → Übungen / Tutorials" im Abschnitt "Fragestunde / Repetitorium". Gerne können Sie über ein dort verlinktes Google-Formular (anonym) Fragen zum Stoff der Vorlesungen oder der Übungen stellen bzw. Wünsche äußern, welche Themen nochmals angesprochen werden sollten. Diese werden (für alle sichtbar) gesammelt und gegebenenfalls in einer der folgenden Fragestunden aufgegriffen. Die erste Fragestunde findet am kommenden Freitag, dem 17. April, um 14 Uhr c.t. im Hörsaal 001 in Gebäude E1 3 (und online über MS Teams) statt. In addition to the office hours of the tutors, Tobias Mai offers a weekly question time in the style of a revision course. Current topics of the lecture will be repeated and discussed on the basis of additional exercise problems. More information on this as well as the link for online participation can be found on the page "Information → Übungen / Tutorials" in the section "Question time / Revision course". You are invited to use a Google form, the link to which is provided there, to ask (anonymously) questions about the material of the lectures and tutorials or mention topics which you want us to repeat. These suggestions will be collected (visible for everyone) and possibly taken up in one of the next question times. The first question time is going to take place next Friday, April 17, at 2:15 pm in the lecture theatre HS 001 in building E1 3 (and online via MS Teams). |

Allgemeine Informationen / General information
- Die deutschsprachige Vorlesung wird von Dr. Tobias Mai gehalten. Inhaltlich unterscheidet sich diese in keiner Weise von der zeitgleich stattfindenden englischsprachigen Vorlesung.
- Die Vorlesung beginnt am Mittwoch, dem 8. April, um 10:20 Uhr. (Aus organisatorischen Gründen beginnt die erste Vorlesung ca. 5 Minuten später.)
- Die Vorlesung wird in hybrider Form gehalten, sodass Sie an den Vorlesungen sowohl vor Ort (die genauen Räume entnehmen Sie bitte der Liste unten), als auch online über Microsoft Teams teilnehmen können; wichtige Hinweise und Erklärungen dazu finden Sie hier.
- The English-language lectures will be given by Prof. Dr. Mark Groves. The content of these lectures will be identical to that of the German lectures taking place at the same time.
- The lecture course begins on Wednesday, April 8, at 10:15 am.
- The lecture course will be held in a hybrid format, meaning that the lectures can be attended both onsite (for the precise rooms, see the list below) and online via Microsoft Teams; important hints and explanations concerning Microsoft Teams can be found here.

Die Vorlesung bildet den zweiten Teil eines dreisemestrigen Zyklus, der Sie als Studierende der Informatik in die Mathematik einführen soll.
In diesem zweiten Teil werden wichtige Konzepte der Linearen Algebra vermittelt.
This lecture course is the second part of a three-semester course in mathematics for computer science students.
In this second part the emphasis is on an introduction to linear algebra.

Literatur zum MfI-Zyklus ist im zugehörigen Semesterapparat der Campusbibliothek für Informatik und Mathematik zusammengestellt.
Einige der dort gelisteten Bücher stehen Ihnen online (kostenlos) zur Verfügung, solange Sie sich im IP-Bereich der Universität befinden. Um von außerhalb des Unigeländes darauf zugreifen zu können, müssen Sie eine VPN-Verbindung zu den Uni-Servern herstellen; eine Anleitung zur Herstellung einer VPN-Verbindung (samt Installationsanleitung von Cisco AnyConnect) finden Sie hier.
Literature for the MfCS lecture course can be found in the corresponding Course Reference Shelf provided by the Campus Library for Computer Science and Mathematics.
Some books listed there are available online (free of charge) as long as you are using an IP address of the university. To obtain access from outside the university, it is necessary to set up a VPN-connection to the university servers; a detailed description (unfortunately only in German) can be found here.
